Scouts, Guides & NCC at Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Jodhpur
The Scouts and Guides programme at Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Jodhpur plays a vital role in the holistic development of students by nurturing leadership, discipline, teamwork, self-reliance, community service, and a strong sense of social responsibility. The Vidyalaya has an active strength of around 105 Scouts, Guides, Cubs, and Bulbuls, who regularly participate in training programmes, camps, adventure activities, and community outreach initiatives.
Under the guidance of well-trained Scout Masters and Guide Captains, students receive practical training in scouting skills, first aid, outdoor survival, environmental conservation, and service to society. These activities help students develop confidence, resilience, cooperation, and a spirit of volunteerism while preparing them to face real-life challenges with responsibility.
From the academic session 2026–27, the Vidyalaya has also introduced the National Cadet Corps (NCC) for both Boys and Girls. The NCC programme aims to foster discipline, leadership, physical fitness, patriotism, courage, and national integration. It provides students with valuable opportunities to develop character, enhance life skills, and prepare for future careers, including the Armed Forces and other leadership roles.
